Jesus: The Reason for the Season: Yes Indeed!

Hey friends. I’m sure most of us have heard the phrase at Christmas that “Jesus is the reason for the season” many times. It’s true and far more than a cliche or adage. From the Berean Study Bible, this is what we find in the gospel of Matthew, Chapter 1, verses 20 through 21:

…20But after he had pondered these things, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to embrace Mary as your wife, for the One conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit…21She will give birth to a Son, and you are to give Him the name Jesus, because He will save His people from their sins.”

“And God Said”

Hey Friends. I hope you’re doing well.

You know, we live in days where we are constantly reading about people accusing each other of this or that where both parties believe they are right and the other is wrong. What is the absolute truth? […]

Christ is Risen!

Friends, I wish you a blessed Easter.

Jesus died for our sins to pay off its penalty. Romans 6:23 states: “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (NIV, Bible) And, Jesus conquered sin, death and the grave when He arose on the third day. As first Corinthians 15:4 states: “that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures…” (NIV, Bible)

Jesus is a living Savior, able to rescue forever the one who trusts in Him. Easter means that I’ll live forever. How exciting is that news? Friday, the day of the Lord’s crucifixion is gloriously followed by Sunday’s resurrection. I hope you are celebrating the greatest news on the planet.

May God bless each of you.

Truth

If there was ever a time we needed to know the truth, it’s today. Many today question whether there’s any source of absolute truth. Some live as though they believe there absolutely is no absolute truth to be found. I can’t imagine living each day thinking that there’s no enduring certain source of truth in this world. Without absolute truth, what anchors a person regardless of what tomorrow may bring? […]

THE Commander in Chief

Several weeks ago, my wife and I were traveling on a country road and I shared what was going on in my mind with her. I said “I need to remember that regardless of who becomes the next U.S. President, Jesus is THE Commander in Chief. My trust must always be in Him.” Just as I finished my statement, we were rounding a curve in the road and my wife and I noticed a sign in front of a church building that said, “It’s Not about who Becomes President; Jesus is the King.” We looked at each other big-eyed, reminded of what is true in every moment of life, namely that God knows our very thoughts, even before we have them. In that moment, I sensed His presence in a very real way letting me know that He was watching over us. […]
