Hi friends. I hope this post finds you doing well. This is an important time in our nation set aside for remembering and honoring those of our military personnel who have died during their service in the United States Armed Forces. For some of you, there is deep meaning to this time as you’ve lost someone very close to you. May the Heavenly Father who is called the God of all comfort in scripture (2 Corinthians 1:3) comfort you and bless you.

I am privileged to spend time with some young marines who are stationed in our town at a local base. They are so respectful and I often see myself as somewhat of a father/grandfather in terms of how I feel toward them. It strikes me how vulnerable they are at their early stage of life, especially in a very crazy world we live in today. It compels me to pray for these and all their comrades around the nation.

Again, this is an important time for us to remember and be thankful for sacrifices made to preserve our many freedoms we enjoy in America.

See you next time.
