We thank God for all our family and friends, including our church family at Highland Baptist Church. We are thankful to live in a nation where we enjoy freedoms, and are indebted to those who serve in our military to keep us safe and to protect our freedoms.

We are thankful for each moment of interaction with others who have brought meaning to fleeing time during this earthly pilgrimage. We are grateful for the prayers made for us and for the privilege of praying for others.

Most of all, my family is thankful for the love of God, in Christ, that has rescued us and brought meaning and purpose to our lives. We hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving this year.

I can’t sign off on this post without telling of the great joy God added to our family with the arrival of our first grandchild in the late summer of 2012. Yes, Aiden has brightened our lives so much. To have your children and then to experience new life again through your children is an indescribable blessing from the Lord. The picture which accompanies this post shows Aiden wearing a shirt with words stitched by my daughter, Hannah. The words share the news that Aiden will have a little brother or sister this coming summer, Lord willing.

Again, have a wonderful Thanksgiving with the special ones in your life.
