I hope you are well this Saturday, friends.
I surely don’t need to offer a laundry list of online links to persuade anyone of the uncertainties that surround us all today. We live in such uncertain days. I’m thankful the Lord God is a refuge of spiritual rest and calm to whom one can turn amid the storms of life.
There are so, so many wonderful promises in the Bible from God to us, promises that encourage the heart and anchor the soul. A verse I’ve shared in a prior blog post some time back has become a “go to” verse to me on many recent days. I’ll share this scripture again today with you. It is a wonderful verse to memorize and carry in your heart and mind as you go about your day.
Proverbs 1: 33 from the New King James Version of the Bible says:
“But whoever listens to me will dwell safely,
And will be secure, without fear of evil.”
This verse not only brings rest to my soul when I become anxious about myself but it helps me look outward and know that God is tending to others I care about deeply who are listening to and trusting in Him.
We all get rattled at times and worry about what the future holds. God knows what the future holds and He alone knows. If we turn to Him and His Word, He assures us of His love for us and His promises apply to all who believe Him.
I hope this brief post will bring a moment of ponder and that you will be encouraged by the LORD. He really does have all the answers we need.
Have a great week!
Thanks for sharing the encouragement from Proverbs. He is our source for security, safety, peace, and rest.
Money is a wonderful tool that can be used for good, but we should never hold it up as our God.
Amen to that, Steve.
