Thanksgiving 2021 is upon us. How the years roll by! But rich are the blessings of life!!

As we consider all our blessings this Thanksgiving season, let’s remember the goodness of God. He is the supplier of all our deepest needs. Our greatest need was satisfied by the death of God’s Son, Jesus Christ, as Jesus took upon Himself on the cross the judgment of God each person deserves for having fallen short of His righteousness. Romans 3:23 says,

“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23, NIV Bible

God wants us to believe in His Son so we can receive His forgiveness and eternal life. We know that Jesus satisfied His Father in paying our sin debt because Jesus arose and will return one day. How wonderful is God to give His Son to meet my deepest need, namely to be reconciled to Him forever! I love another scripture which shouts of God’s goodness and His desire to provide all our needs down to the smallest detail.

“He who did not spare His own Son, but gave Him up for us all–how will He not also, along with Him, graciously give us all things?” Romans 8:32, NIV Bible

In this verse, God reasons with you and me that if He gave Jesus, His dear and only Son, to meet our need for salvation, how could we think that He won’t also give us whatever we truly need. He surely will provide!

He has given us family and friendship. He supplies our physical needs and in America, we indeed are the land of plenty.

I thank God this Thanksgiving for all the good gifts in my life; I thank Him for each of you and hope you have a blessed Thanksgiving this year!

See you next time.
