Ethan Pope, a dear friend and devoted Christian man, wrote the foreword for my book, “Choose Stocks Wisely.”

Ethan is the author of numerous books that teach people how to understand and manage financial resources well. His focus is on sound financial stewardship practices based on principles that are found in the Holy Scriptures.

He has just released a new book called “Prepare: Spiritual and Financial Readiness for the Coming Economic Storm.” The book is intended to serve as a preparation manual in light of our national debt crisis that threatens our economic foundation. It presents the facts of our national debt crisis and how important it is for us to deal with it now. Ethan also presents a sound strategy for how I can personally respond in a sensible manner.

Like many of you, I’m concerned about the deteriorating condition of our national balance sheet. Please visit www.PrepPlan.org to learn more about “Prepare.” Ethan deeply cares for others; his book does not pull any punches but tells it like it is. So, it’s not a “feel-good book.” However, he offers a sensible and very helpful plan of preparation. It is an essential conversation, I believe, for our time. For that reason, I wanted to tell you about it in this post.

I’ll close with a portion of the back cover text to Ethan’s book, “Prepare:”

“An economic storm is on the horizon. The U.S. economy is on an unsustainable course and approaching a point when it will become mathematically impossible to recover. The time line has shifted. It is no longer just about your kids and grandkids–it’s about you.

But this is not a time for pessimism or despair. It’s a time for action.

In “Prepare,” Ethan Pope explains:

  • How to prepare spiritually by getting your focus in the right place.
  • How to prepare financially by reallocating your resources.
  • How to prepare personally by economizing your lifestyle.
  • How to prepare practically by paying off debt.”

May God bless you and watch over you.
